At the next Softbelly meetup we are holding a presentation about using little known, controversial technologies (as in, they piss off big business) to increase your own self sufficiency and personal health. The subject matter is quite broad because there are a lot of interlinked technologies that you can use to increase your health, grow food, and build stuff. Our speaker is very experienced in these matters!
This presentation will be for a couple of hours and start between 6 and 6:30pm.
Aquaponics
Aquaponics is a combination of Aquaculture & Hydroponics. This means that fish and plants are grown in an integrated system, creating a symbiotic relationship between the two. An Aquaponic system uses the water from the fish tank to circulate through a grow bed where the plants are grown.
Geopolymer
Geopolymers are a class of inorganic polymer formed by the reaction between an alkaline solution and an aluminosilicate source or feedstock. The hardened material has an amorphous 3-dimensional structure similar to that of an aluminosilicate glass. However unlike a glass these materials are formed at low temperature and as a result can incorporate an aggregate skeleton and a reinforcing system if required, during the forming process.

Alkaline Water
Alkaline water is said to be of benefit to people’s health because it helps neutralize the chemical imbalances of the body, which some believe tend to run too acidic. Further, proponents note that many common foods are also acidic, further upsetting the balance. It is claimed to aid in the treatment of asthma, help hydrate better between cells, help heartburn, reduce indigestion and aid with many other ailments.

Ormus
ORMUS is thought to be the precious metal elements in a different atomic state. The following elements have been identified in this different state of matter – Known Ormus Elements: Gold, Silver, Platinum, Iridium, Osmium, Palladium, Mercury, Rhodium, Ruthenium, Copper, Nickel and Cobalt.
All of these Ormus elements are abundant in sea water. According to David Hudson’s discoveries, these elements in their Ormus state may be as much as 10,000 times more abundant than their metallic counterparts. There also may be other elements which occur naturally in the ormus state.
They are said to have many health benefits as well as a potential nutrient supplement for gardens, pets, animals and people.
